Since we're already "Down Under", we can start our journey in Australia. Our flight takes us via Bangkok and Singapore to Sydney. From there we head south on the major highways and then along small country roads along the coast to Melbourne. We continue on the Great Ocean Road towards Adelaide, heading north near Portland to the fantastic mountain landscape of the Grampians. From there to Melbourne Airport and finally by plane to Christchurch on the South Island of New Zealand.
Our actual New Zealand tour begins here in Christchurch on the South Island of New Zealand. We pick up our motorbikes just a few kilometres north of Christchurch. The book describes the most important highlights of the South and North Islands from here. There are maps for the day tours. All highlights are numbered and marked on the maps. The day tours are described in detail. We drove the entire route by motorbike and visited all the highlights ourselves. An adventure book with first-hand reports. Written by motorbike enthusiasts for like-minded people. With very few exceptions, the tours can also be driven by car, although some dirt roads are better with four-wheel vehicles. We are enthusiastic about New Zealand. And this enthusiasm is passed on to the reader. You will not receive a classic travel guide, but rather an adventure report with a precise tour description. Depending on how much time you can invest, the tours can be individually combined - either just the North or just the South Island. This book is therefore ideal for your planning and a good guide for the day tours and their highlights on the tour. We wish everyone a safe journey.
